Heroes del Ring

For a long time, videogame development in Mexico was a similar fantasy as winning the World Cup, but several contests promoted by Mexico´s Economy Bureau, specialized tuitions in universities and the opening in Mexico of videogames production studios as Sabarasa, achieved that the country became an actor of this millionaire industry.

Mexico is a big videogame consumer, in fact, according to the International Development Group, 70% of the two billion dollars grossed in Latin America by the videogame industry, comes from Mexico, so it was time for the country to become an actor instead to be an spectator only.

Sabarasa, developing house with office in Los Angeles, CA, studios in Mexico and Argentina, decided to produce Héroes del Ring, a videogame starred by AAA wrestlers, the most important wrestling league in the country that celebrates its Independency bicentenary next September 16 and, has in this sport -below soccer, of course- the most important media product.

With the support of Televisa Home Entertainment, Sabarasa licensed the scenarios, referees and wrestlers from AAA, to allow the gamers to experience the adrenaline of the combats between the Technics and the Rudes.

Despite the high launching season starts in October, it was decided for Héroes del Ring to launch then. It will be a hard fight because, besides facing a straight opponent as WWE Smackdown v. RAW 2001, both Rudes and Technicians will have to beat another big names as Fallout: New Vegas and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, to mention a few.
