Train like the big ones

When we analyze a wrestler´s body, we can see many carrying a prominent belly, but there are some muscled ones with no fat. This is thanks to a rigorous training.

Diet is basic for any sportsman as, in order to perform at maximum, it´s required a high-protein, low-carb diet.

On top of cardio and proper feeding, it is required to make muscular toning work. Generally, when starting a routine it is worked by groups: back, chest, arms and legs. Eventually the routine is divided by smaller muscles: shoulders, biceps, triceps, etcetera.

While running and jump the rope are good cardio exercises, every sport training sets its favorite cardio. For example: soccer players are running all the time and box fighters jump the rope every day.

Exercising helps in many ways: to keep us healthy, to look good, but more important, to make us feel excellent.

Héroes del Ring: a rude online presence.

We got to live in a time when videogame developers are not the stranger and foreign figures they used to be: they are people available at Twitter, Facebook and any other communication way.

The wrestling game Héroes del Ring has a Twitter account (@aaaheroes) where the product is promoted and answers questions from players and potential customers.

Another way where players can manifest their concerns are the forums of Héroes del Ring. These are divided by console and topic, so PlayStation 3 owners can discuss specifically and Xbox 360 likewise.

Lately, the trending topic on the Héroes del Ring social networks is the Aldea Digital 2 promotion because, as the game is going to be at the event, tickets are being given away so users can assist.

Few games maintain their online presence after they hit the shelves and, in that aspect, Héroes del Ring has set a sample.

Unreal Engine 3: the graphic engine behind Héroes del Ring

Lately there has been some debate regarding the weight of graphics on videogames. There are those who believe they are the spine of the game, some think they are secondary, either way, presentation is always important and if they are not spectacular, players won´t be enticed. Héroes del Ring uses a graphic engine called Unreal Engine 3 but, what is that?

Epic Games is a company dedicated to develop games for PC, but their graphs were so successful that other studios started licensing their engine. Little by little, the company realized that it was more profitable to design graphic engines than games, so the third Unreal Engine was born.

One of the reasons why the developers opted to use the Unreal Engine 3, besides the fact that it´s easier to use an existing engine instead of creating a new one, is because it gives the creators the possibility to design realistic models.

Unreal Engine 3 has been used even in the fighting gender, being Mortal Kombat and, of course, Héroes del Ring, its main examples.

Epic Games will make their Unreal Engine 3 available to mobile developers, as the engine will be launch for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Héroes del Ring blog: beyond the ring

It´s usual for the big brand games to have dedicated blogs to discuss the title itself and, of course, Héroes del Ring has a blog of it own.

Is not surprising for the Héroes del Ring game to be the main subject on its blog, but it is not only "buy it, buy it" what is it said there, good posts are written too, as the one focused on the history mode on the title.

Likewise, the Héroes del Ring blog goes beyond what competes it and approaches topics related directly to wrestling, like the article that discusses the masks tradition in Mexican wrestling.

Beyond the game and wrestling, the Héroes del Ring blog also has articles covering videogame industry events like the Electronic Game Show.

Blogs like the one of Héroes del Ring are not usual since it is not only used to promote the title, since it was created as a resource for both wrestling and videogames fans.

Héroes del Ring; beyond the history mode

Video games aren't cheap, that´s why several game modes are added to them to increase playability. Of course, Héroes del Ring has several modes to add value to it.

Unlike the other fighting titles, Héroes del Ring lacks of a versus mode per se, but it has the mode of Battle for the Pride where up to four players can fight each other mimicking the Fatal Four battle.

It is also usual that fighting games include a "tournament" mode, where several characters (either controlled by the user or the console) fight. In Héroes del Ring, the "tournament" was replaced by King of Kings, where up to eight people can participate.

Along the history mode, characters, video testimonials and biographies of Triple A characters are unblocked. Héroes del Ring has a mode where that collection of unlockable items can be found: Extras.

With modes that goes from campaign for one player thru eight-player tournament, Héroes del Ring has plenty to offer.

Technicians: the Heroes of the Ring

For decades, videogames have been a way to tell histories. On Héroes del Ring's case, it tells how a wrestler created by the user, goes from anonymity to fame.

Héroes del Ring features two history modes: one for the rudes and one for the technicians. On either case, the wrestlers that appear on the game tell stories and experiences that are eye openers for the player: things like it is possible to be strong, but if the audience is not by your side, it's worthless.

The game system of Héroes del Ring is a bit complex, reason why a tutorial was included where El Apache teaches the user how to control his character, from moving to the most specific keys.

One of the maximum Triple A championships is disputed in a fight where four wrestlers face each other in an all against all match and, in Héroes del Ring, the player's technician must be experienced enough to beat this exuberant contest.

It's great being able to control La Parka and company, but there is nothing compared to the creation of a wrestler, naming him our way and fight in the Triple A rings to become a wrestling legend.

Konnan, a reformed fighter

Mexican wrestling is full of notable characters that go from the successors of wrestling emporiums to former convicts that found redemption inside the rings, like Konnan "El Bárbaro".

Konnan was born in 1964, but he grew in Miami as his family escaped from Castro regime. At the peninsula, Konnan got involved with gangs and committed felonies, that had him serve time. Later, he was forced to enlist the Navy (or go back to prison, otherwise) and after his service he started wrestling.

Leaving his criminal life behind, Konnan looked to be trained by Rey Misterio Sr and other champions that had him on the right way. On top of that, his military training and voluptuous body helped him to get ahead many encounters on the sport.

After he got to be known in Mexican rings, Konnan returned to US where he has spent most of his career.

Of course, Konnan couldn´t be missed in Héroes del Ring, since surely there are more than one enthusiast that would like to use the Cuban to beat the competition.

Technicians versus Rudes

The eternal fight between good and evil has been portrayed in different ways: from the creationist, where a god and a demon compete for the human souls, up to the Hollywood vision, where heroes are nationalist white people and the villains from any foreign country. In Mexico, we have our own vision: technics and rudes.

Given that we help our elders on a daily basis, or we enjoy doing practical jokes to our friends, we all identify with a side: the good side, where justice is all, or the bad side, where the own benefit its the only matter. Héroes del Ring, a wrestling game created by Sabarasa, gives the player the opportunity to choose the one he prefers.

Héroes del Ring will have more than 40 AAA contenders: Abismo Negro, Aerostar, Alan Stone, Alex Koslov, Charly Manson, Chessman, Cibernético, Crazy Boy, Dark Cuervo, Dark Ozz, Dark Scoria, Dr. Wagner Jr., El Apache, El Brazo, El Elegido, Electroshock, Espectro Jr., Gronda, Jack Evans, Joe Líder, Kenzo Suzuky, Killer Clown, Konnan, La Parka, Laredo Kid, Marco Corleone, El Mesías, Nicho el Millonario, Octagón, Pimpinela Escarlata, Polvo de Estrellas, Psicosis, Psycho Clown, Rocky Romero, Silver Kings, Super Fly, Último Gladiador, Vampiro Canadiense, Xtreme Tiger, Zombie Clown y Zorro.

Once a side is chosen, the player must increase his character level according a score-based evolution system based on popularity. Along his way, the user will have the possibility to improve his acrobatics, and the result will depend on his ability to obtain the audience´s support.

With the one player mode finished, the user will be able to participate in online fights to exhibit his abilities either rudes or technics, as well as show off his character´s design, as the game has an editor for both outfit and mask.
